Wikis are enabled by wiki software, otherwiseknown as wiki engines. A wiki engine, being a formof a content management system, differs from otherweb-based systems such as blog software, in thatthe content is created without any defined owneror leader, and wikis have little inherentstructure, allowing structure to emerge accordingto the needs of the users.
